hierarchies: odd / even

UNIT - Y

Cities and countries are diverse in the way they may be organized, built and experienced. Sports/play are one way of unifying people and different cultures. A common focus makes people forget other differences and focus on the task at hand…. a way of pausing from the blurring caused by speed in our own synthetic culture.

Patterns of (f)light

In the sky at night,
their patterns become alight,
forming a country.

Matters of Concerns

ACTIVISM

[PEACE] VS. [POWER]

How both would generate unlimited rhizome of actions?

The Catalyst

Stems that creep along the ground are called stolons, and stems that grow below ground are called rhizomes
Grasses use stolons and rhizomes to reach out and establish new grass culms. The stoleon or rhizome nurtures the new plant until it is strong enough to survive on its own.

Elemental Bonds

Connections between two elements initiate transformation, where two different elements can configure new molecular bonds or simply electrostatic attractions for a moment in time. The progression and layering of these connections compose new mapping properties and void all hierarchical arrangement.

In the shadows of the rhizome

The city is made up of a multitude of different contextual elements. The threshold spaces many of these elements produce are often [un]desired, "left-over" spaces. These areas create new opportunities for design to intervene and integrate the [un]wanted into the urban fabric.

Maps of Meaning

The lines of light encompass the mapping of time.  As a measurable and cyclical dimension, time connects society, the city, religion, and nature. There is no beginning nor ending only a constant revolving.
The planet consists of multiple layers building up as time passes; the growth connects the opposing concepts between the two themes.
